What to listen for
- Mr. Market, Graham's most famous parable: a business partner who offers you a price every day, sometimes euphoric, sometimes depressed. You can use him, not obey him.
- Price fluctuations matter to the investor only as opportunities to buy low and sell high. Otherwise they can be ignored.
- Listen for the difference between price and value, and why owning a business isn't the same as watching a quote.
- Rule #1 link: this chapter is the reason events and drawdowns are buying opportunities. See the 52-week-drop filter.
